Monroe Models 2301 – Overhead Gantry Crane – HO Scale Kit

ALL NEW, ALL METAL DESIGN! We have redesigned and re-tooled the HO version to make all the structure parts real cast (lead free) white metal!   The Model: Every railroad needs an overhead crane to lift heavy objects from railcars to trucks for delivery to its final destination.  They are used for lifting quarry stones, pre cast concrete parts, steel coils, steel rails, large crates or anything that wouldn’t roll off a flatcar or gondola.  This gantry crane model is created from an actual prototype erected in the 30’s and still stands to this day.    What’s in the kit?  Two cast resin parts for the concrete foundation.  Cast metal parts for the motor, hook, control panel, beams, and support structure.  Full assembly instructions and cable for the hook are also included.  You will need small files, CA “super” glue, Pine Vise with a #61 Drill bit (.039″) and modeling paints for assembly and finishing of the kit.  The scenery, figures, vehicles are not included.    Size: 5€L x 2-5/8€W x 4€H
